This week in science I got in a group and I did some research about oil. Then me and my group made a poster about it, then we did a presentation about it. The presentation could have been a little better if we had we had a little more time to put some information on the poster. I also read an article about H.I.P.P.O. I'm not talking about the animal hippo. I'm talking about Habitat loss Introduced species Pollution Population growth and Over-consumption. I mostly payed attention to Population growth because that was the most interesting to me. That's what I did this week in science.
This week in science I learned about oil. I learned that we make deodorant, crayons, ink and a lot of stuff we have today. Those things are all made with oil. I also learned that more than half of the U.S produces oil. The article said that thirty one states produce oil. I also learned that using oil causes air pollution. I also learned that oil is a nonrenewable substance. That means that it can not be replaced with any other substance. Something different that I learned that the Earth's population is too big. I seen a video and they said about every fifteen to twenty years a million more people gets added on to the Earth's population. I also learned that one out of those three people don't have a good water system or any other resources that humans need to survive. Maybe since that's the case hopefully the Earth's population will drop little by little. That's what I learned this week in science.
